This year, 2021, the Onewhero Rugby Football Club will celebrate 100 years.  

Rugby was played in the area as early as 1897, but the club was not officially formed until 1920 when the local young men returned from service during World War 1.


A committee has been formed and planning is underway.  The celebrations which were meant to be Easter 2020, but due to the arrival of Covid-19 it was postponed to Queens Birthday 2020, then postponed again to  March 12/13 2021 and again finally to......

Signs are up around the Franklin area.  We ask you to please register your interest in attending one or all of the functions over that weekend.  Further details will be made available on all functions as we get them finalised.  Your registration will help us determine numbers and confirm prices.  Your registration fee of $20.00 per person will cover entry to the offical event and give you priority access to tickets for the Centenary Dinner (limited, sold separately).


This website will also be updated from time to time giving you some nostalgia and some current information.


We are looking to celebrate in style so please come along and join us.  This has been a wonderful club.
