Our Latest Centurion - Sean Bagshaw

Updated: Aug 8, 2019

Our latest centurian is Sean Bagshaw , a diesel mechanic by trade.

Sean came to the Club mid-season 2011. He grew up in the Te Aroha area and played 1stXV rugby for Te Aroha College. He was selected for the Thames Valley U19 while playing at the Waihou Club, where he also played Senior rugby. Sean went on to play Senior rugby for Morrinsville Sports and also played a year in Ireland for the De Salle Palmerston Club in Dublin.

Bagsy, as we know him, was selected for Counties Bs in 2011 and played and captained them in 2012 and 2013. In 2014 he became a Steeler, enjoyed a very good season, and was a nomination for Rookie of the Year. He has continued with the Steelers and in the 2017 season had the best overall tackling percentages for the team. Bagsy is an all-round good guy – he is the ultimate professional in his preparation and approach to rugby. He is hard working and dedicated. Sean played his 100th game for the Onewhero Club on March 23rd against Bombay.

The Club thanks him for this huge contribution.
